| PREAMBLE: Because so many
worldwide have shared their works with me and, because artistamps are my preferred medium
for presenting my own art. I'd like to do something in return for the mail art community
as a whole. That being an ongoing call for artistamp artists. This call for artistamps
will collect and document your miniature works of art of today, for the sake of
preservation in the future. Your stamps will be distributed to all subscribers of Artistamp
Artifacts. DEADLINE: None, ongoing project. (THIS PROJECT BEGAN IN MAY 2001)

- Open - any method/technique of creating artistamps will be accepted.
- All submissions will be included - no jury.

THEME: Any
DOCUMENTATION: Documentation will be provided to all
participants when publication occurs. Effective October 1, 2004, we are publishing ARTISTAMP
ARTIFACTS each quarter year. Publication dates are the months of January,
April, July, and October. No other returns.
SUBMISSIONS:
- Send 50 - 100 (or more) of your own artistamps per submission. Stamps
should be all the same. Actual stamps will be included in the documentation returned to
participants (and others). Stamps collected and used in the quarterly publication will
also be distributed to the other participants highlighted, and all subscribers to the
current issue. Your stamps submitted may also be used for decoration of the envelopes that
Artistamp Artifacts is mailed in.
- Each submitting participant will receive one copy of the issue of Artistamp
Artifacts that the stamp appears with/in.
- You are highly encouraged to include any information
about the stamp you are submitting for the call. E.g. background information such as: why
you decided to make the stamp, how you made it, an interesting anecdote about it,
technical information, etc. We will include this information, along with your stamp, in
the issue of Artistamp Artifacts it appears in. (WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO EDIT/CONDENSE YOUR TEXT AS

- Please be patient. Your stamp may not be published immediately. But we will make every
attempt to be as prompt at including it in our next issue as possible.
- Be sure to include your name and snail mail address (legibly please) with your
submissions. This information will be provided in the documentation so that others may
contact you directly about your stamp art.
- If you have an email address, please include it too, so that we may quickly contact you
if we need to. (Note: email addresses will not be included in the documentation unless you
instruct us otherwise).
