In some parts of the world,
Local Post really means remote delivery... For the Island of Pabay, in the United
Kingdom, mail delivery occurs by boat. The Island of Pabay is about an hour away from the
western shores of Scotland. These carriage labels are used as supplimental postage to and
from the Royal Post on the mainland. The Island of Pabay has also maintained a very
consistent stamp program for collectors, since the late 1960's.
